    1. I just find myself happy with the simple things. Appreciating the blessings God gave me.
    2. Some days are just bad days, that's all. You have to experience sadness to know happiness, and I remind myself that not every day is going to be a good day, that's just the way it is!
    3. Being real is what keeps me humble. It doesn't matter how much money I make or how much I accomplish. What's critical is staying real to myself and keeping my feet on the ground. That's what helps keep me going.

    6. It's been quite a roller coaster ride, but I've grown and learned a lot about myself. The greatest thing is being able to interact with fans and touch people's lives... for that I give thanks.
    7. Every story I create, creates me. I write to create myself.
    8. I don't have any control over what actually happens except for that I have full control over my will for myself, my intention, and why I'm there. That's all that matters.
    9. I look in the mirror and see a few scars, but I like myself.

    12. I see myself as an intelligent, sensitive human, with the soul of a clown which forces me to blow it at the most important moments.
    13. For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: 'If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?' And whenever the answer has been 'No' for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.
    14. I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition.

I am proud of everything that I am and will become
    22. If I didn't define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people's fantasies for me and eaten alive.
    23. God's mercy and grace give me hope - for myself, and for our world.
    24. If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher. I will pick out the good points of the one and imitate them, and the bad points of the other and correct them in myself.
    25. I don't want other people to decide who I am. I want to decide that for myself.
    26. I don't see myself being special; I just see myself having more responsibilities than the next man. People look to me to do things for them, to have answers.
    27. I put a lot of pressure on myself. I think something's not good enough, and I won't stop until I feel like I've made it. I'm never satisfied.

    30. That's my only goal. Surround myself with funny people, and make sure everyone has a good time and works hard.

    32. I've worked too hard and too long to let anything stand in the way of my goals. I will not let my teammates down and I will not let myself down.
    33. My peers, lately, have found companionship through means of intoxication - it makes them sociable. I, however, cannot force myself to use drugs to cheat on my loneliness - it is all that I have - and when the drugs and alcohol dissipate, will be all that my peers have as well.
    34. The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.
    35. I don't consider myself a Hollywood liberal, but I have my convictions and my beliefs.
    36. O reason, reason, abstract phantom of the waking state, I had already expelled you from my dreams, now I have reached a point where those dreams are about to become fused with apparent realities: now there is only room here for myself.

    42. When I take good care of myself, it lifts my spirits, boosts my confidence, and makes me feel strong. When someone tries to throw me shade, it bounces right off. I look those haters straight in the eye, keep my chin up and shoulders back. Because I know I'm a fierce queen - and they know it, too.
    43. I'd describe myself as a Christian who doesn't believe in God.
    44. Being myself is what got me to where I am.
    45. I remind myself every morning: Nothing I say this day will teach me anything. So if I'm going to learn, I must do it by listening.
    46. If anything is certain, it is that I myself am not a Marxist.
    47. Legacy is not what I did for myself. It's what I'm doing for the next generation.

Life is supposed to be about love and good times, and so I've forgiven myself after paying the consequences of my bad decisions, and I'm ready to move forward and allow my life to be a light to others that it's never over, even for a person like me, who has lost a tremendous amount of respect among my peers, my fans, my friends and family.
    49. I like to be myself, and I don't pretend. For instance, I don't dress up for occasions; I am what I am.
    50. I see myself as the best footballer in the world. If you don't believe you are the best, then you will never achieve all that you are capable of.
    51. I'm not that conservative. I do feel - I guess I'm more of a Democrat at heart, although I've never affiliated myself with a particular party.

    59. I work a lot in the slums of Tondo, Manila, and the life there is poor and very sad. And I've always taught to myself to look for the beauty of it and look in the beauty of the faces of the children and to be grateful.
